Ancient Greek Mythology

Greek Mythology still influences the arts and literature today; where do you think we get a large percentage of our references? The following myths skim the surface of the foundation you will need to pick up these cues not only in our culture but also in our literature this year.
Familiarize yourselves with the following myths; know them well enough to relate the tale if I ask. Do whatever you need to do: make notecards, a handout, outlines, whatever your best method of retention.

At the end of the week, you will be asked to participate in an activity involving the myths; we will discuss them at length.
Your myth quiz will be Thursday, September 17.
